An overview of Protomatic

Protomatic is a CNC machining shop specializing in prototype and production components, primarily for the medical and aerospace industries. We also offer precision components for other advanced technology industries such as electrical and optical OEMs.

The core of Protomatic is our engineering staff and our machinists. They bring diversified educations and experiences that help them bring nearly any idea to life. Because of their exposure to a variety of CNC machining, they are able to quickly bring your product to market.

Protomatic is based in a modern 30,500 sq. ft. facility in southeast Michigan, one city west of Ann Arbor.  Lighting and climate-control have been designed especially for the precision required in the prototyping and manufacturing functions of the facility. Consistency is further ensured with dust-controlled manufacturing practices. Gauges are monitored using “GAGETrak(tm)” and are calibrated to NIST and/or ISO 10012.

Operations running with Cybersecurity based on NIST SP800-171 and CMMC latest revisions.

Protomatic is ISO 9001:2015, ISO 13485:2016, and AS9100D registered.  Compliant with DFARS, and has current ITAR export licenses.
