This month, we are relieved to report that most indicators, including our internal ones, say the economic outlook is improving. We are busy at Protomatic Inc., keeping pace with our customers by adding capacity to meet their growing demands. One of the ways we are improving throughput and quality.
Protomatic is actively improving product reliability. For example, failed tapping operation due to a broken drill is a significant event affecting part quality.
Protomatic has recently added a Haas 5 Axis CNC milling machine to support the growing demand.
Principally focused on medical and aerospace parts, Protomatic offers additional high speed and precision CNC Milling and Turning for your applications.
November is the time in Michigan when the weather turns nasty and the summer distractions are gone. Here at Protomatic, we like to put in the extra hours and get the job finished.
This October we are all very busy at Protomatic meeting our customer’s demands. One way we are achieving this goal is by installing a new Coordinate Measurement Machine (CMM).
All businesses are looking for the best suppliers. We do, too. We both find that the hard part is typically not finding a supplier, but rather it is finding the supplier that meets the need and who comes with a high level of confidence.
All businesses are interested in protecting their confidential information and product intellectual property. We, at Protomatic, are no different and wanted to inform our customers of the various measures that we have established in order to secure such information.
The technology that is required to manufacture first class plastic components at a reasonable cost pushes the state of the art for machines, tools, and fixtures. For example, holding the plastic workpiece so it doesn’t flex during the machining process is somewhat of an art in itself.
The future is filled with uncertainty but, we can plan and prepare for the future. Planning is one of my hardest jobs and it gets the most attention. Due to our customers’ concerns regarding risks to their production, we have put together a brief summary of some of our planning.
To meet our customers’ increasing production demands, Protomatic recently purchased a Tsugami TMA8-III Multi Axis CNC. This Multi Axis CNC combines both turning and milling processes in one 8-Axis CNC machine.
To meet our customers’ increasing production demands, Protomatic recently purchased an LNS Servo 65 Bar Feeder for our busy Mazak. This Bar Feeder provides loading of multiple bars of raw stock for the purpose of automating lathe operations.
This month Protomatic is highlighting an extremely important but often dismissed activity that is critical to manufacturing precision parts. That activity is preventative maintenance (PM).
